Here is the final color piece. Fushigi Yuugi is my absolute favorite anime although the whole tamahome and miaka thing became super annoying. Tenkou is my favorite character, he is the biggest in the illustration. Nakago would be my 2nd favorite character because you couldn't really hate him in the end. I think it came out pretty good but I wish it came out a little brighter and some of the characters are not on point such as the genbu senshi because there isn't many pictures of them in color on the net to use for reference. If I were to redo this I would probably use dr. martin dyes or markers or even photoshop but I still need practice with that. I used soft pastels as a watercolor medium, acrylic white, sephia ink, and sharpie. I also used a glaze spray to add shine to the illustration. I will be making prints of this illustration to sell at the new york anime festival convention on dec. 7-9th. I will have an artist alley table under the name curry crisis with my fellow artist, look out for us! enjoy
